In 2010, Nagendra joined ThoughtFocus with a dream of building a career in finance. Fresh out of school, he sought a company that would recognize his potential and provide him with opportunities to grow in the Financial Services industry. ThoughtFocus became that platform, offering him exposure to diverse projects and the freedom to grow.
He started with a Flood Zone Determination Project and soon transitioned into credit risk monitoring, corporate analysis, and credit background verification. Each new challenge expanded his expertise, preparing him for bigger roles. His knack for quality and process improvement led him to establish the Quality Management System in Mysore, introduce key operational metrics, and contribute to AI projects like chatbot Yana. Many of the projects he took on were first-of-their-kind at ThoughtFocus, providing him with greater learning opportunities, the freedom to experiment, and the chance to grow alongside his team. But his most defining career shift came when he helped expand the Alternative Investments team, growing it from a handful of people to over 175 professionals.
Nagendra credits his success to ThoughtFocus’ unique culture—where potential is valued over credentials, ideas are heard, and leadership provides both trust and support. His motivation comes from solving new challenges rather than following a set routine. For him, staying at ThoughtFocus is about purpose, impact, and the opportunity to shape the company’s growth rather than just being a part of it.
