A few years ago, while actively exploring new career opportunities, I found ThoughtFocus to be an organization that instantly resonated with me. This journey marked a significant transition for me, as I relocated from the United States to India. During my interactions with various companies at that time, most discussions revolved around the reasons behind my move. However, ThoughtFocus distinguished itself by placing primary focus on my professional experience and skill sets rather than dwelling on my personal choices.
My expertise has consistently centered around product development, and at ThoughtFocus, there is a strong emphasis on cultivating domain expertise with product and technical knowledge. My early weeks were dedicated to immersing myself in industry-specific aspects, which was a valuable learning experience. What truly stood out was the opportunity I was afforded to remain closely aligned with my passion for the “technical” aspect of the business. Even though I joined the organization during the remote challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I never felt isolated or unsupported in my learning journey. Support from the team and the leaders, contributed to my sustained interest and motivation in a new and challenging environment.
From a professional perspective, I have consistently embraced increased responsibilities, whether in terms of managing a greater number of projects, diversifying project types, or expanding our team. My exposure to clients through product deployment cycles has been instrumental in enhancing my understanding of client and industry requirements.
My overarching objective has always been to continuously develop my technical skills while sharpening my domain expertise in Mortgage & Lending. This blend of domain knowledge and technical prowess is what we refer to as our “secret sauce” at ThoughtFocus. Our organization thrives on a rapid pace, where we are not just expected to deliver on projects but are also actively engaged in sales collaboration, pre-sales efforts, and client interactions to discern and meet client needs.
Another invaluable aspect of our culture here is the absence of silos; teams are highly collaborative and readily share knowledge, offering opportunities for cross-project learning. The dynamic nature of the organization facilitates accelerated career growth where individuals have the freedom to determine their own pace of advancement. Personally, I have been open about my career aspirations with my leaders, and this transparency has played a pivotal role in my ongoing journey of growth and development at ThoughtFocus, a journey that continues to thrive.
